Some links on PriceTrim are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence community votes or rankings.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to a store that lets the store know the visit came from PriceTrim. If you make a purchase after following one, the store, or an affiliate network working with the store, may pay PriceTrim a commission. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the store directly.
Which links may be affiliate links
- Most links from PriceTrim to stores may be affiliate links. This includes links in deals, comments and forum posts that members share. We may convert a store link a member posted into an affiliate link.
- Where we can, we mark affiliate links with an Affiliate badge. Because most store links may be affiliate links, it is safest to assume that any link to a store could be one.
- Members may not post their own affiliate or referral links.
What commissions do not change
- The price you pay.
- Community votes, deal scores, or whether a deal is trending.
- Which deals members can post and which comments stay up.
- Our moderation decisions and our choice of staff picks.
Sponsored placements
Stores and brands can pay PriceTrim for sponsored placements. Sponsored placements are always labeled as sponsored. They appear in designated places and are kept separate from community scores. A sponsor cannot buy votes, change a deal's ranking, or remove deals or comments.
Staff picks
Staff picks are chosen by the PriceTrim team and are never sold. A staff pick may contain an affiliate link. If it does, it is labeled the same way as any other affiliate link.
Cookies and tracking
When you follow an affiliate link, the store or affiliate network may place a cookie or use similar technology to record that your visit came from PriceTrim. This is how a purchase is credited to us. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser settings. Our privacy policy explains more about the information we collect.
Prices and availability
Deals on PriceTrim are shared by members and can change at any time. Prices, coupons and availability are set by the stores, not by PriceTrim. Always confirm the final price and terms at checkout.
