For merchants and brands

How a store can take part, request a labeled sponsored placement, and what money can never buy on PriceTrim.

Merchants & brands · Updated Nov 2, 2026

Stores and brands are welcome on PriceTrim. This guide explains how a merchant can take part, how sponsored placements work, and what money can never buy here.

Sharing your own deals

Store owners, employees and brand representatives may share their own deals, as long as they disclose the connection clearly in the post, such as saying that you work for the store. Your deal is then voted on like any other. Posting your own deals without disclosing the connection, or using several accounts to do it, will get the posts removed and may get the accounts banned.

Replying to members

You are welcome to answer questions about your products, correct factual mistakes and explain your policies. Say who you represent each time. For order problems, ask the member to contact your customer support directly instead of sharing personal details in public.

Requesting a sponsored placement

To request a sponsored placement, use the contact page and tell us:

  • the store or brand, and who you are
  • the offer, with its terms and any code
  • the dates you would like it to run
  • the page shoppers will land on

We review every request before it runs. Every sponsored placement:

  • is always labeled Sponsored
  • appears in designated places, separate from community rankings
  • must point to a real offer with accurate pricing and terms
  • can be declined or removed if it is misleading or breaks our guidelines

Members can comment on sponsored placements and report them, just like any other post.

What money cannot buy

  • Votes, scores, or a place in community rankings, trending or staff picks.
  • Removal of a community deal, a negative comment or a critical post.
  • Changes to what members wrote.
  • Special treatment in moderation.

Being part of an affiliate program that pays PriceTrim commissions does not change any of this either.

Errors and legal concerns

If a post gets a fact wrong about your store, such as an old price, reply with the correction or report the post. If you believe content infringes your trademark or copyright, or is otherwise unlawful, contact us with the specific link and the details. Honest opinions and negative experiences are not removed on request.
