Expired deals and reporting problems

What to do when a deal ends, a price is misleading, or a store looks like a scam.

Getting Started · Updated Nov 2, 2026

Deals change fast. A price that was right an hour ago may be gone now. Members keeping deal pages accurate is a big part of what makes PriceTrim useful.

When a deal has ended

  • Reply in the comments with what you saw and when you checked, for example that the price went back up or the item sold out.
  • Use the Report option and choose that the deal has expired. The original poster or the PriceTrim team can then update it.
  • If the deal is still available in some sizes, colors or locations, say which ones.

Other problems to report

  • A misleading price, such as a previous price the store never actually charged.
  • A referral link, invite code or a member's own affiliate link.
  • A deal posted by someone connected to the store who did not say so.
  • Spam, duplicates, offensive content or personal information.
  • A link to a store that looks like a scam.

Reports go to the PriceTrim team. A short note about what is wrong helps us act faster. We do not tell the person who posted it who reported them.

Spotting a scam store

Be cautious when several of these are true:

  • A store you have never heard of offers prices far below every other seller.
  • The web address is slightly misspelled, or uses an unusual ending, compared with the brand it claims to be.
  • There is no physical address, phone number or clear return policy.
  • Payment is limited to wire transfer, gift cards, cryptocurrency or a payment app.
  • The site is very new and has no history anyone can find.

If you see a deal pointing to a store like this, do not buy, and report it.

Problems with an order

PriceTrim is not the seller and cannot change an order, issue a refund or speak for a store. If something goes wrong:

  • Contact the store first, and keep a record of what you sent and received.
  • If the store does not help, contact your card issuer or payment provider about your options.
  • Share what happened in the deal's comments, factually and without personal attacks, so others can decide for themselves.
