How PriceTrim works
Members share deals, the community votes and comments, and the best deals rise. Here is how it fits together.
PriceTrim is a community deals site for shoppers in the United States. Members share deals they find, other members vote and comment, and the best deals rise to the top. Here is how the pieces fit together.
Finding deals
Today's deals shows what members have shared. You can browse by category, see what is trending, or search for a product or store. Each deal shows the price, the store, its community score and the comments.
Read the comments before you buy. Members often add the detail that matters: a lower price somewhere else, a size that sold out, a coupon that stopped working, or a seller to avoid.
Sharing deals
Anyone with a free account can share a deal. A good deal includes a direct link to the product, the price, the store and anything that changes the final cost. Read how to post a good deal before your first post.
Voting
Members vote deals up or down. Votes are the community's way of saying whether something is a real deal. Deals with strong support move up, and deals that are misleading or expired move down. See how voting and reputation work for the details.
Labels you will see
Some deals carry labels such as Affiliate, Sponsored, Staff pick or Trending. Each one tells you how a deal reached the page. Deal types explained covers what every label means.
The forums
The forums are for conversation: deal questions, price mistakes, in-store finds, coupon codes, freebies, and boards for categories like electronics, home and travel.
How PriceTrim makes money
Some links on PriceTrim are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence community votes or rankings. Stores can also buy sponsored placements, which are always labeled. The affiliate disclosure guide explains both.
What PriceTrim is not
- We are not a store. Purchases, shipping, returns and warranties are between you and the seller.
- We cannot guarantee a price. Prices change, sometimes within minutes, so confirm the final price at checkout.
- Stores do not control the conversation. What members post and how they vote is up to the community, within the guidelines.
